Kevin McMillan has been involved in volleyball for the past 25 years, as a player, official, and coach. Coach McMillan started his playing career at University of Toledo, where he played club volleyball for the Rockets as an outside hitter. Kevin also pursued College Basketball where he participated at the National Championship level.
In 1998, he began coaching in Michigan, and has been here ever since. Last season, Coach Kevin enters his 3rd year as the Girls Varsity Coach at Lansing Catholic High School, where his team made it to the Regional Semi- Finals and finished with a record of 44-4-1. Kevin also earned Lansing area Class B Coach of the Year honors his first year with the district. Prior to coaching at Lansing Catholic, he spent 3 years coaching the Michigan State University Women's Club Green Team. Kevin also spent 3 seasons as the Varsity Volleyball coach at Perry High School, in Perry, MI, with a record of 85-45-6. Kevin spent three seasons prior to that, coaching at Lansing Christian High School as the Varsity Coach where he led the Pilgrims to a record of 135-33-13, Won 3 District Titles, 2 Regional Finals, and was named Lansing area Class D Coach of the Year three years in a row.
Coach Kevin has coached athletes beginning volleyball at the elementary level, through the high school level, AAU ages 10U-18U and has been instrumental in assisting many former players from Attack Volleyball Club continue their volleyball experience playing at the Collegiate level. Kevin participates in training himself in the sport by attending yearly coaching clinics and classes to maintain a high level of competency and to continue improving his knowledge of the game.
Kevin is currently the Club Wide Master Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and National Team Coach for Attack Volleyball Club. His teams have been highly successful over the past several years, posting a program high 3rd place finish in the 17U Division at the 2017 USAV National Championships in Chicago, IL. In 2015 his team posted a 17th place finish in the 18U Division at the National Championships in Orlando, FL. In that same year, his 16U team finished 9th at the USAV National Championships at Navy Pier in Chicago, IL.
Kevin has been married to his wife for 19 years and has an amazing 15-year-old son named Joey, and 6-year-old daughter, Kyler. He enjoys playing sports with his wife and kids, University of Michigan Athletics, attending high school and college volleyball matches, and hanging out with family and friends.
